The event was marketed rain or shine and the rains came but it did not dampen the spirits of the attendees of the sold out event! A great time was had by all and we are already looking forward to next year’s Burger Battle V.
Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale hosted the fourth annual Riverwalk Burger Battle™ presented by Publix Aprons Catering and Cooking School on Friday, May 31, 2013 under the stars along the Riverwalk at Huizenga Plaza. This sizzling event pitted sixteen (16) top burger joints and restaurants against one another as they showed off their creative juices and grilling skills to over 1000 guests along the scenic New River.
This 21+ event was held rain or shine. The event brought together burger aficionados for an evening of gourmet burger creations, cocktails, beers and fun, while raising funds to support the Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale’s mission of building and nurturing a vibrant community connected by the New River.
The Winners:
Best Burger Trophy winner & Fan Favorite winner is Rosie’s Bar and Grill. With two perfect scores, they reached Burger Nirvana with the Bacon Bitty Bang Bang Burger. They secured the Best Bar & Grill Burger award two years in a row. Holy Cow!
Best Burger Joint Burger for two years in a row goes to Charm City Burger Company, coming in close 2nd Place Overall. The Wizz Burger won the coveted Burger Nirvana designation again, just like last year’s Southern Belle. Way to go!
Best Knife & Fork Burger goes to four year veteran Big City Tavern. They finished in third place overall with the “Hogfather” Burger.
