imageOn August 23, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Pinion, Benefiting Special Olympics, will celebrate under the stars as they raise funds for Special Olympics and its very special Athletes. Presented by Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Pinion’s annual summer FUNdraiser will be a Hawaiian Luau, featuring cocktails, food, music and dancing poolside at the fabulous oceanfront Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.
Pinion, Inc. is the financial arm of Special Olympics Broward County, providing the funds needed to give children and adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports. The program offers these special athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, fellow Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Revelers will dance under the stars, gaze at the ocean vista, and enjoy tropical cocktails, a traditional Hawaiian kaluapig roast and Hawaiian fire and hula entertainment, while dancing to the fabulous spinning tunes of renowned DJ Nova. The event will feature fabulous silent and live auction prizes. All proceeds directly support Special Olympics Broward County to help these very special athletes’ dreams come true.
Tickets are $75 including a Malibu Blue Hawaii welcome cocktail, two drink tickets and delicious Hawaii-themed food, and can be purchased at or the night of the event at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, 505 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304.Sponsorships are still available, and will include prominent display in promotional and onsite materials.
