We’ve finally made it, Spring has sprung around Chicago! All around the city and the suburbs, communities are putting on egg-citing egg hunts that promise fun prizes, good times, and reduced stress to parents who forgot to buy those colorful eggs.

On April 1st, head to Austin Town Hall Park for a free egg hunt. The hunt starts at 10 AM and kids between 6 and 13 are welcome to join! Along with an egg hunt, guests will enjoy arts and crafts, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and other fun Spring activities!

Galewood Park

At Galewood Park, kids between 5 and 12 are invited to participate in another colorful egg hunt in the city! The hunt starts at 11 AM on April 1st, and baskets will be provided. The first 60 people to register in advance will receive a free Easter basket! 

Easter Egg-stravaganza at Lincoln Park Zoo

With live music, free rides, outdoor activities, and games, the Easter Egg Hunt at the Lincoln Park Zoo is set to be one of the best in the city! While kids under 13 get free admission, those older need to pay $35 per ticket. Talk with animal and horticultural experts while you enjoy this perfect Spring day on April 8th.

Wonderland Egg Hunt at the Preserve of Highland Park

With eggs, prizes, and candy, kids in all age groups are sure to find tons of treasures to fuel their Easter fun. The Great Easter Egg Hunt – Berwyn

With over 20,000 eggs to hunt down, the Great Easter Egg Hunt in North Berwyn is going to be an event to remember. Kids of all ages will start the hunt on April 8th at 10 AM, and then have the opportunity to enjoy an Easter Parade and “Eggstravaganza” right after!  

Easter Egg Hunt – Elmhurst

At the baseball fields at Berens Park, you’ll find the annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 8th! For ages 2-10, the egg hunt is free but requires registration. One thing to note is the second Egg Hunt time slot is full, but there’s still room from 8 to 9 AM!

Doggie Eggtravaganza at Berens Park

Okay… so, technically this egg hunt isn’t for human children, but we all love our pets just as much, right? On April 8th at 11 AM, bring your dogs out to enjoy a special Easter Egg Hunt just for them! All dogs must be leashed, up to date on current vaccinations, and have all tags present. We hate to be biased, but we think this one might be the cutest!
