Host Jessica Koussevitzky was on hand at The Breakers Hotel for Il Circolo’s 39th Annual Anniversary Gala. Every year since its’ origination, Il Circolo, the Italian Cultural Society of the Palm Beaches, has chosen a notable man or woman of the year to honor at their anniversary gala along with a complementary honorary chair. This yearโs Woman of the Year is officially designated as Senator Maria Lorts Sachs for her exemplary efforts in promoting and preserving Italian Culture in America. The Honorary Chair is Sons of Italy, Florida Lodge President, Edward Mottola, Jr. who assisted in these endeavors.
Il Circoloโs 39th Annual Anniversary Gala entitled, โFesta della Italia Vecchiaโ (Feast of Old Italy) took place on March 8, 2015 at 6:30 pm and celebrated all that is classic Italian and Italian-American Culture.
At the gala, guests enjoyed exceptional Italian style food, wine, dances, instruments and history that brought to mind all that was beautiful and celebrated in late 1800โs Italy, taking place at Palm Beachโs perfect historical venue, The Breakers Hotel. A lively cocktail hour, complete with traditional strolling accordion players and singers, was followed by a five course gourmet Italian dinner complete with wine. A silent and live auction dazzled guests with gifts that will undoubtedly be a feast for those who love Italian goods, services, and accommodations. There was also some secret, unpublished surprises throughout the night.
The eveningโs entertainment was one of the most sought after Italian bands in the country, Ray Massaโs EuroRhythms joined by Gino DeMarco, who lead guests into dancing and singing the night away!
