On Sunday, November 1, Host Evan Golden was on hand for Jason Taylor, the legendary Miami Dolphins
defender, as he squared off against current Dolphins Pro Bowl center, Mike Pouncey, in an epic table tennis match as
part of the Global Wealth Management JT’s Ping-Pong Smash 12 – Presented by Publix (#JTvsPouncey).
Proceeds from the event benefited the Jason Taylor Foundation, whose mission is to support and create
programs that facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida’s children in need by focusing on
improved health care, education and quality of life. Additionally, this year’s Smash will also support the Team
Pouncey Foundation.
“Mike is not only a great football player, but he’s been tremendously active in his support of my Foundation
and the South Florida community as a whole,” said Taylor. “We are very excited to have him co-host this year’s
Smash and I just hope he’s been practicing because he’ll need it!”
“I’m really looking forward to teaming up with JT on this event,” said Pouncey. “I have the utmost respect
for him as a former teammate, as a competitor and as community leader. I’m just not sure how much I respect his
ping pong game.”
This one-of-a-kind event will once again pair generous community members with some of the Sunshine
State’s most recognizable personalities from the worlds of sports and entertainment, including Taylor and Pouncey,
as well as a host of current and former Miami Dolphins players, cheerleaders and others.
