Thanks to the sponsors, Broward Health, the brightest stars in South Florida’s non-profit community were recognized on January 24, 2012 at an invitation-only gala event to select the nominees in seven categories.
The second annual BankAtlantc Non-Profit Academy Awards VIP party, hosted by 211 Broward and sponsored by Broward Health put the spotlight on the area’s most important service and charitable organizations and the people who bring them to life.

MARCIA BARRY-SMITH, BANKATLANTIC
SUSAN RENNEISEN, SEMINOLE HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO and
JEN KLAASSENS, of the WASIE FOUNDATION
kept the crowd of more than 200 in suspense as they brought up each of the event sponsors to announce the finalists.

The award winners will be announced on Friday, February 24 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
